Racing Kicks Off Day 2 At UTV World Championship

It is not race week without racing and that started today with the first races of the 2020 UTV World Championship. The race weekend was split over two days with Short Course Pro Turbo, 1000, and 900, Youth 570, Youth 1000 & Production 700/800, and Pro NA & Pro Unlimited Desert Race taking off the line on Day 1.

The amount of youth racers at the UTV World Championship shows how strong off-road racing is. It also gave the future stars of off-road racing the biggest stage to perform on with the backing of some of the top companies in the industry.

All the hype around the Speed UTV’s gave them something to live up to in the Pro Naturally Aspirated and Pro Unlimited race. But the race did not go as planned for them as one vehicle suffered a broken tie rod before the start and finish line on the first lap.

In the end, it was Dodge Poleman taking home the win in the Pro Naturally Aspirated class. Poleman took off the line first and never looked back. The clean air helped him tremendously, even with the wind blowing.

Racing continues tomorrow starting in the morning with the Desert UTV Rally, Sportsman, and Pro RS1 race. Be sure to check out the gallery with highlights from today’s racing action!
