The Legacy Racing Baja Nevada is less than a month away and more details are coming out about the event. The Baja Nevada’s new qualifying course hasn’t seen race tires since its original use in 1968. This course featured a 400-mile desert race that went dormant for 30 years.
As drivers race across part of this historic course, you will feel the excitement and hype from its origins. Qualifying will be hosted on Private Property just north of the Las Vegas Valley.
The complete course is over 600 miles long and will be a two-day event. The race will start North of Alamo and have a unique twist where racers can switch from racing mode to campfire tales in Tonopah after battling just over 300 miles. The race resumes the following day with another 300 plus miles of rugged terrain to finish near Pahrump.
Classes set to qualify are the Unlimited Truck, Class 1 and 6100. These vehicles will battle for the fastest time and bragging rights on Wednesday, May 12th. One day one person will be able to say they were the fastest qualifier for the first-ever Baja Nevada event.
Strobel Companies has stepped in as the Unlimited Qualifying Partner awarding $1,000 and a trophy for the winner. These two classes will battle on this fresh new ground for the chance of clean air on race day Friday, May 14th. The growing 6100 class will qualify next and Diamondback Materials has Partnered with Legacy to Award the 6100 Class fastest Qualifier with $1,000 and a trophy.
This event will be Livestreamed on Legacy’s Facebook and YouTube channel. Follow our social media for more information.
