The GMC Hummer EV has made the off-road and automotive market very interested in an electric vehicle with plenty of firsts. Those firsts just became more real with GMC announcing they will reveal the Hummer EV on Tuesday, October 20th.
Getting an unveil for a brand new vehicle is one thing, but then to get teased with a video showing a feature that no other vehicle on the market has is even better – Crab Mode. With the Crab Mode feature enables the GMC Hummer EV’s four-wheel steering capability, allowing it to move in a diagonal direction – functionality that is tailor-made for off-roading customers.
Four-wheel steering is something usually only seen on hardcore rock crawlers allowing them to maneuver over the rocks like a crab. To have four-wheel steering on a production vehicle is mind-blowing.
Customer reservations for the Hummer EV will be available through GMC’s website the day the vehicle is debuted. Details about how to watch this revolutionary debut will be shared closer to the reveal.
